Pakiki-isa Savings and Credit Cooperative (PSCC) is committed to protecting the privacy of its members, employees, and stakeholders. This policy outlines how we collect, use, store, share, and dispose of personal information in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA) RA 10173. 

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal and sensitive personal information necessary for membership and loan processing, including: 

• Personal Particulars: Name, address, birthdate, gender, civil status.

• Contact Details: Phone number, email address.

• Government IDs: TIN, SSS/GSIS, Voter’s ID, Passport, etc..

• Financial Information: Income, expenses, assets, bank account details, loan history, credit information.

• Employment Details: Employer name, address, position.

• Background Check Information: Character references, credit investigation reports. 

3. Purpose of Collection and Processing

The collected data is used for:

• Verifying membership qualification and identity.

• Processing loan applications, credit investigations, and collections.

• Managing member records and transactions.

• Providing updates on cooperative services, products, and events.

• Complying with legal, regulatory, and tax obligations. 

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your information with outside parties, except: 

• Service Providers: Third-party partners for credit checks, collection, or IT services.

• Regulatory Bodies: Credit Information Corporation (CIC), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), and other government agencies as required by law. 

5. Protection Measures

We implement strict organizational, physical, and technical security measures to protect your data, such as: 

• Limiting access to authorized personnel only.

• Using secure servers, firewalls, and encryption.

• Regular training of employees on data privacy. 

6. Data Retention and Disposal

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected, or for legitimate business/legal purposes (e.g., 5 years from the end of business relationship). After this, records are securely disposed of.

• Be informed that your data is being processed.

• Access your personal information.

• Rectify or correct inaccurate data.

• Request deletion or blocking of your data.

• Object to data processing.
